NASSCOM is a global trade body of India with over 2000 members, of which over 250 are companies from China, EU, Japan, US & UK.
‘NASSCOM’s member companies are in the business of software development, software services, software products, IT-enabled/BPO services & e-commerce. This application aims at giving access to NASSCOM research & intelligence that tracks industry trends, growth opportunities and best practices. Access to industry events, presentations, blogs, discussions & articles. The app also provides an opportunity to engage with the NASSCOM research team and share case studies or transformational stories.

Goals & Objectives

The objective of this application is to promote NASSCOM to ensure that service quality and enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights is properly implemented in the Indian software and BPO industry.
Provide platforms for members and other stakeholders to interact and network, be a conduit of change through thought leadership, research, market intelligence & membership engagement

The Challenges

As the organization is the global trade body, the biggest challenge was to make the application perform without any glitches and downtime. Code has been developed keeping in mind for more than 20 thousand users. There are many research papers, community content & news that make it a sort of challenge to achieve the required performance efficiency.

The Solution

We optimized the code to tune it up for performance. Further, we focused on optimizing the architecture. Our developers did not write complex queries and modified them to receive a quick server response. Also, we structured APIs to receive a faster response.

App Features / Web Admin Features

NASSCOM app allows users to read IT related news which are being fetched through RSS links. We have listed any research papers in the application so the user can read them any time to get knowledge on specific research areas.
App users can also view all events information, organized by NASSCOM in different cities so that they can attend the same and interact with other members of NASSCOM. Here are the key features:

• Newsfeed for the latest updates.
• Research papers so that members can get the benefit of insights.
• Research papers can also be printed as PDF.
• Upcoming Events can be highlighted, Events can also be added to the personal calendar.
