Responsive Website Experience for Indian Real Estate Firm
Overview
Realtor. is a publicly traded Residential Real Estate organization in India. Established in 2010
Realtor has grown its portfolio from 282 units with a market value of approximately 100 cr to 9,414 units and approximately 200 cr market value now.
Realtor. wanted to develop a latest webs which could cater to the modern iNDIAN audience which is tech-savvy and would such as to search properties using mobile devices.
Before approaching I-Softinc, they had hired a vendor but were not satisfied with the quality of work. After doing their due diligence over several weeks they awarded the project to I-Softinc.
Problem
When Mr R.S Sharma director, Marketing and Communications at Realtor, create a mobile paining for his company, he was clear that he did not want responsive webs. Rather, he wanted the mobile experience to be various from that offered at desktop browsing.

Integrating a third party database Web2Text to give updated rental prices of Realtor Properties.

Technology Stack
The User Experience design group conducted various sessions with Realtor group to understand their audiences, preferences and tested design mockups before arriving at the current design
Collaboration and Communication
Project collaboration was done using Basecamp. Each project communication was done using email, Go to Meeting or Skype. To accelerate the development process, I-Softinc, along with his CEO Bob Dhillon, few down to our office and stayed for a few days to ensure that developments matched his expectations.
Process and Engagement Model
The project was executed on a Fixed Price Engagement model since the scope was defined and it was possible to estimate the project. Since the scope was relatively small, we adopted the Waterfall Development Model for it.
The backend was developed using WordPress CMS. Integration with Web2Text Database was done, and the project group set acron (a time-based scheduler) on a daily basis to update the Web2Text database so that the rental data of properties remains updated.
